Default The BRCA Truggy National Format for 2010

Dependant on numbers, for Xmas Tree finals to work properly there needs to be a good attendance which looks like that may not be the case

Looking at the polls and talking to the drivers in general would suggest that ABCDE Type finals would be the preferred choice and that more drivers bumping up would give the same desired effect as Xmas Tree Finals but without the hassle of finding someone to help

It has also been suggested to have finals starting at 30 minute finals with a 45 minute Main “A” Final

So a recap of what you get at a 1 day meeting and a 2 day meeting

So on a 1 day meeting you get 1 round of practice plus 4 rounds of qualifying with a 20 minute Final Total 45 Minutes Track time

On a 2 day Meeting you get 1 round of practice 5 rounds of qualifying and a final of at least 20 minutes so for a 2 day meeting Total 50 Minutes Track Time

Talking with some of the top drivers in the country, some of the distributors and telephone conversations and emails with the committee I have also taken advice from some of the best in the business to determine a radical approach to what the drivers want and how we can achieve it so…

In answer to more run time im going to put my neck on the block

With Immediate effect the format for all 3 rounds of the 2010 Truggy Nationals will be in the following format

Day 1

1 round of practice warm up (5 minutes) added to the first round with 5 Rounds of qualifying

All qualifying will be duration of 7 min's long

Day 2

A further 2 rounds of qualifying

Overall Qualifying for the final will be 7 Rounds with 4 to count

Finals will be the standard A,B,C,D,E Final format with 4/5 cars bumping up, the lower finals will be a Minimum of 30 min's with the Main “A” final being 45 min's

Total Minimum Track Time for a 2 day meeting 84 Minutes

This in my experience will tick all of the boxes and give "Value for Money"

This format works for up to 105 drivers and Based on 7 heats and although tight can be achieved and to be honest the chances of any more turning up would be Slim

Time Table would be

Day 1

07.00 Gates open
07.30 Booking in
08.30 Booking in closes
08.45 Drivers Briefing
09.05 First heat of practice on the line
18.30 Track closes for any Repairs ect

Day 2

07.45 Drivers Briefing
08.35 First heat on the line
11.45 First final 30 mins long
18.15-18.30 Finished put away and home

On Round 3 the only difference will be that presentations of trophies ect will be done for the top10 with an addition of the top 10 Clubmen and top 5 Juniors and this may take a while….Sorry

Kind Regards Glyn

NB please note that timetable is subject to chsange

A new website and online booking in form will be released in the next few day Thanx to Gareth and Dave
