Default Laptop to TV

Pal at work is asking if he can connect his laptop through a DVD player with hard drive then to the TV?

Can he go laptop to TV via usb?

Laptop has vga & usb out

DVD has usb out etc

TV has usb etc but no vga

Yes you can do this, with the VGA leads straight from the pc into the DVD player (It SHOULD have VGA "in" on it)90% of newish dvd players have, once it's hooked upto the DVD it will go to the tv through the standard scart/HDMI cable. I'm not sure though about the USB straight from lappy to tv.sorry.

To get the picture from a laptop on a tv you would need to connect the vga to the tv, you could use some kind of vga to hdmi converter.

didn't think of that. On the other hand if it's a newish TV there should be VGA in/out either on the side or on the back..
