Welcome Jason , saw those on rctech, very nice indeed. 17-40 f4 I think will be my next lens - I don't really have a decent quality wide angle at the moment

Is that a proper lens in your avatar - or have you made up it out of drainpipe & waste paper baskets, in a Blue Peter style?

It's a bigger diameter that me.

Yes, it's a real lens. It's my friend's 600mm f4, with his 10 megapixel lens cap.... errr... an XTi :P. Not to knock a capable camera, of course, it just looks a little out of place on that behemoth of a lens.

Jimmy - you'll love the 17-40. I've found that out of the lenses I use, it gives the best color rendition.
