Default New Lipo List

Does anyone know why the Trakpower Dark Series are not on the BRCA list for 2010. Did they fail the spec or were they not submitted. From the forum I thought there would be no problem with them.

Due to the lack of the dark cells it looks like I will not be able to afford to race this next year.

I only got back racing due to finding the hobby to expensive in Aug 09 and my new cell, are now use less.

This sport needs sorting out or most club level drivers will give up due to cost.

They only aren't legal for nationals and regionals. You can club race with them just fine.

I could have got cheap cell for the far east if all I wonted to due was race with out getting F grade points.

However my club is Southport and most meetings are F grade, NW area, or Nation level, which will make it so that I am unable to race at any of these weekends.

Before you start slagging off the way this sport is run have you considered that it is proberly the manafactures fault. There is something fishy going on with trakpower I have e-mailled them 2 or 3 times regarding something and i havent had a reply i know other people who have had the same. So maybe Trakpower havent submitted them for homologation in which case the dark side cells wouldnt be on the list.

Well lots of people from Southport got Darkpowers as there was a deal for club members so you aren't the only one!
The only races were its an issue are the NW regionals and the Southport national which is a tiny part of the whole season.
Buy 1 single pack of legal cells (you can recharge straight after a race and top up at anytime so 1 pack can do a whole meeting, especially a larger one) and use those only for BRCA events. Then use the Trakpowers for club meets.

with the time between rounds charging up a single pack is easy. Also you can do 2 races on a single pack anyway so shouldn't be a problem

then use your trakpower ones at club nights

There's some very reasonably priced legal ones around as well, especially the ones which have been legal for a year
