Default Speed Passion LPF V2.0 ESC in a 4WD

Looking at one of these to run in a 4WD with a 6.5 and 7.5 is it going to be an issue?

I'm sure I read somewhere that they are ok down to 5.5t for touring cars and 8.5t for 1/10th buggies. I can't find where I read it now, but would have thought on the SP website. I already have one and was wondering the same thing. I run an 8.5t in my buggy and this has been fine. Best to get it confirmed by someone else though.

I looked at the specs of both and interestingly it states that the LPF can use to 5.5T or above on 7.2v (NiMh) but when used with 2 cell Lipo it has to be 6.5T or above. The Pro can use 4.5T or above on 2 cell lipo. Interestingly the Hobbywing XERUN manual states that the 120A (Same as pro) you should use greater than 5.5T in offroad and the 60A (same as LPF) states 8.5T or greater. I would go for the PRO as it would not have to work as hard as the LPF.

That's what I sort of feared..

Time to look for a 2nd hand one or a cheap LRP Sphere TC

I've run my LPF with a 5.5 since I got it in October. only in the last 2 weeks I've swapped to a 7.5 for indoors.

"New for 2009 the Speed Passion GT2.0 LPF Blue Edition ESC.

I use one in my XX4. I've got it wired up to a 6.5 Speed Passion motor. I've had no problems at all. Goes great
