Any Helpful Germans on here? Advice needed

I will be driving through Europe in a month or so, and I really need to make an overnight stop. Germany would seem the most appropriate place, after considering likely distances travelled by night time.
Can anyone recommend a hotel chain or booking site?

I estimate I will probably get as far as the A40 by Duisburg when I will be ready to stop if that helps

Also my girlfriend speaks very little German, and I speak none, so somewhere with an English speaking front desk would be helpful

Most of them speak english on the front desks. Try the usual sites like expedia etc. I booked some hotels on a return trip to stuttgart (the mrs wanted to go back the the christmas markets after I lived there for 13 months) and I found and booked them all via expedia.

Where are you headed? ETAP hotels are really convenient and fairly cheap at around 30-40€ a night for two in a double room.

They are brilliant for the price and you can book online and they usually speak english at the desk.

Thanks I'll check those out. (I think we have Etap here in the UK too.)

Sparrow- I'm off to Poland, so Germany seems a good middle point to take a stop.
