Hey all,
I just ordered a RB5 SP kit and was wondering if somebody could help me out with a max battery size I can use. I plan to buy some Intellect 5000 40C lipo with Corally plugs. I hope somebody can help. Cheers Chris |

Anything that's BRCA legal should fit.

Hi there,i race the rb5 with a trakpower 3200 20c lipo and it's more than enough with a 6.5/7.5 motor, after 5 mins race it still only recharges 1500 capacity, the only problem is you need to add around 100 grams of weight
to make it brca legal,i use a 1mm thick solid brass plate weight the same size as the lipo with no problem.Have tried larger capacity lipo's but not really much faster just need less weight and 3200 are cheaper than 5400.Hope this helps on your choice. |

I'm using Gm racing (graupner) lipo 4200mah with hard case . I think that's the biggest you can get because the rear pack I have to squeeze it a bit to fit (I you look at your rb5 at the rear of your battery slot there's two sort of protrusion for screw to be put from the bottom of the chassis ).
The specs Dimensions (L x W x H) approx. 2 off 69 x 47 x 23.5 mm |
