Im trying to install it on my laptop but im running Windows 7 (64 bit) does anyone know if the drivers will work? Ive tried it in compatibility mode (xp) and that still doesnt seem to work.

Its prolly somit to do with the USB ports and vista/windows 7. I know I can't flash my phone rom from vista/win 7, it just errors or bricks it.

Might be wrong though, someone might have done it already

What type of device does the ESC come up as in hardware manager?

I was using VMWare workstation with 2003 server installed with my Tekin until recently.

have a look at vmware workstation, or possibly MS Virtual PC (Free download).

Get a legit copy of XP, and install the software on that.

Should work! Mine worked on my XP laptop I had.

There's a problem with the Losi software and 64 bit operating systems. It didn't work on Vista 64 but did on Vista 32. I'm guessing that even though you're in XP Compatibility mode it'll still be 64 and not 32 bit.

I'm running the 32 bit version of Windows 7 with no problems.

It's not 7 that's the problem, it's 64 bit. Tekin's Hotwire isn't 64-bit compatible either. As more people get 64 bit (which has really been pushed over 32 for the release of 7), more programs will be 64-bit compatible. At the moment though, only the Castle Link (that I know of anyway) works on 64 bit.

What I said. There's mention of it on the Losi Xcelorin download page http://www.losi.com/Support/XcelorinDownloads.aspx

Cheers Folks.

Simple answer is i will wait for the states to catch up , XP was so many years ago i had forgotten about it.

Guess ill have to give it a go on the ole home pc this evening then. Im assuming vista 32 bit is not a problem for anyway once you disable the virus software?

Mine worked on Vista 32 bit without any problems (didn't even have to turn the AV off). I just installed the programme before connecting the dongle thingy up.

Oh, finally! Only took them 2 years after announcing there'd be a 64 bit version.

You can download the new virtual pc and the xp mode all from the microsoft site, think you still need a key though, but it's easier as you dont need an xp cd.
