there was a post on here some were a few weeks ago, about the difference between imperial and metric drill bit sizes for drilling out pistons, i found this little conversion chart and thought it might be of use to some people so here it is,

Northy is out of stock of 55 and 54 drill bit. Any recommendations as to where to get them from?

im struggling to find 1.3mm and 1.4mm drill bits,iv tried ebay but they are all jewelery metal bits,anyone got any ideas

what kind of drills in 1.5mm and 1.4mm are you looking for,wont the ones you listed above drill pistons??

its 1.3mm and 1.4mm,i need them to drill out the Durango pistons,its the price of them£4 posted each

i only need them to drill plasic not criptanite(spelt wrong but you get the idea)

www.expotools.com have sets of small drill bits, well worth a look, carry some really good kit. i use them for all sorts of bits, i'm lucky though, they are only about ten miles away from me

Metric and imperial are never a direct replacement, they are always slightly bigger/smaller than the imperial size etc.

I got 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4mm from my LHS that does model trains and what not... 60p each.

on a toy car, nether you me or anyone else would be able to tell the difference and you no it,o and the piston drill i bought of you are not exactly 0.55" any way so shhhhh

Not exact, but it has useful increments in sizes from 0.3mm to 1.6mm
