It became apparent last night that running 5 heats made for some very busy change overs between races. It was suggested recently that it might be an idea that drivers marshall the next but one race heat, thereby making it less hassle to stop racing and then panic to get the car back on charge and then get out quickly to marshall.
In other words if we are running 5 heats drivers would marshall the following races... Heat 1 drivers marshall Heat 3 Heat 2 drivers marshall Heat 4 Heat 3 drivers marshall Heat 5 Heat 4 drivers marshall Heat 1 Heat 5 drivers marshall Heat 2 Comments welcome... |

I'm not part of your club and certainly will never race there (Bit far), but that sounds like a Cracking Idea.
It is so hard sometimes to get everything done after your race and the next one starting and for you to be marshaling, so that could be the Perfect solution. Hopefully people will agree and you'll let us know how well it goes. ![]() |

it's an interesting idea and I think it could work quite well as it would give you a few minutes to sort things out before you have to marshall. Although the only drawback I could see would be the fact that it's not as simple for some people as they then have to figure out what heat to marshall instead of just heading straight out. Personally I would just say have penalties for not marshalling and they will soon learn when to be on the track...
Similar to the other guy im very unlikely to be racing at your club anytime soon but I would be interested to hear how it goes if you decide to trial it. |
