Guys,
I did the stupid the other day and took ot two miscelaneous saddle cells by mistake from my battery box and muddled them up when putting back in. I am unsure if one half of two of my pack is fully charged and one half is half charged. So what consequences will there be if I charge them with my balancer attached? Any or will it just fathom out that one half is charged and one isnt and balnace to match.

Yeah either charge each half saddle individually if your charger does 1S or check with a voltmeter and then arrange as per voltages.
That said, your charger should be able to figure it out over the balance port but will take absolutely ages to charge the empty half once the fuller half has reached 4.2V, as it will then only charge at a rate lower than what it can discharge the full half via the balancer port. |

Cheers for that, well as I dont have a voltmeter (gutted) then maybe charging each individual cell would be the best bet. Thanks, much appreciated.

Connect each of saddle halves to the charger and when it starts charging note the voltage the charger is showing, then stop the charger. The fully charged halves will show around 8.4v and the half charged halves will show a lower voltage.
Even though I use stick packs myself, I mark each pack with a number to help me differentiate packs from the same manufacturer. |
