B4/44 & TC5 Tools

Hi, can anyone list all the different sized tools thats needed in the assembly7 / up keep of Team associated cars i.e. B4 B44 & TC5
the ones i know are:
hex 0.50, 1/16, 3/32, 5/64
Nut 3/16

hex ones are spot on
nut ones are 1/4 (little ones on top deck) 5/16 (shocks) and 11/32 (wheel nuts)

Hey,

Don't forget that the B4 & B44 use imperial hardware.

The TC5 is all metric.

The 3/16" can be used on the b4 ball studs & small nuts.

The Thunder Tiger TC5 is a metric car - so a whole different set of tools are required (although the 5/64" hex driver is the same as a 2mm one).

I think Big G may have mis-typed the nut drivers - I have 3/16, 1/4 and 11/32 and they do everything on a B4, and as far as I know should do everything on a B44 too. They are straight replacements for the moulded tool kit.

Also, get a turnbuckle wrench. #1111 is a nice one, they also do #1110. You'll be lucky if the moulded one survives the build!

sorry to be a dumb a55 but whats a thunder tiger TC5, i just meant the TC5 touring car! which i thought was imperial

There is no such thing as a Thunder Tiger TC5, and seeing as you've asked about the Team Associated TC5 you might wanna have a read of the online manual to check the screw types yoursef before you build

Ive found manuel for TC5 and it says 0.050 1/16 5/64 3/32 for the hex drives, and
nut drivers (3/16) (1/4) (11/32)
Also lists metric nut drives but i guess this is cos there so close in size?

The TC5 is metric. Perhaps the list you are looking at is a list of option parts. The imperial drivers (with the exception of the 5/64 hex, which is the same as a 2mm hex) will not work on a TC5.

EDIT: I think I have worked out why AE are causing such confusion. It would seem that most of the car can be built with a metric 2mm driver - which is the same as 5/64" driver. That's not because the car is imperial, it's because the sizes are common across both standards.

Listing all the other imperial drivers is a rather crude attempt at getting people to fork out money on tools they won't use!

the supplied hex key set (6950) is .050 , 1/16 , 3/32 , & 5/64, it says the recomended nut drives are (1561) 3/16" 1/4" 11/32" 5.5mm , 7mm , 8mm
That is from the actual paper manual that came with the TC5
