Default B4 FT Shock bodies

I bought a B4 FT a while back and have been running it since with relative success. Recently upon inspection of other drivers cars it seems apparent that my shock bodies appear to be different. They are still threaded units that came with the brand new B4 kit yet mine appear to be a dark, brownish almost greeny colour whereas everybody elses ive seen appear to be a very light silver. The shock work well enough I was just wondering if anybody else had these ( maybe the kit is from an old batch for example) or are these the replacement shock bodies that will superceed the silver ones and are being included in the kits

Cheers

Chris

My shocks are the same i knowsomeone who bought there car about a week i bought mine and his are the light colour and mine are the dark colour. I still havent found an exsplanation. But it doesnt effect the shocks at all.

Cheers lads, Maybe they are the replacements for the light coloured ones as I said, Ive no idea why they would though if they are exactly the same, I do in a way wish I had the silver ones though they just look better.

The darker ones are better. they have a thicker anodizing which lasts longer. some people just get lucky.

Cheers Spence I was quite pleased with that one eventhough i feel a bit lucky as the the round by round qualifying definately worked in my favour when it started to rain. nevertheless The 4th in round one was well earned so im well happy with the result. So happy infact in persurveering with the B4 instead of getting an X-6. See you at Bury on Sunday if you are going?

Got it at a good price Carl and I was so dispondent about the Losi nothing would have changed my mind. I fancied something different was looking at the pred before I got the Losi. Going to try the pred and if I dont like it will try something else not lost anything. And if I do like it happy days. As for changing car mid season I cant go any worse with this. We will see tomorrow.

He has an XRS, hardly old!

Its a good car and has a few upgrades to improve it too. We'll see if we can get him flying with it!

I have stripped it today and I must say it is the so easy to work on (1.17 secs to get to the rear diff). Looking at it I think that it is 80% X10 and soon to be x11.5. Sorry Chris to highjack your thread by the way Chris if it is just the dog bone you want for the B4 I have some.

theres seems a bit of wierd karma goin on at bury at the moment, chris elworthy 4th in the A final nw regional some may say slightly lucky given the rain and round by round qualifying, then the following week very unlucky with the wind catching the goshen sports centre gates smashing into your ford focus, oh dear .
how's the car chris? a write off then?
Gav
