How can I calculate what anti-squat I'm running. I have all of the carbon fiber spacers but don't know what thicknesses give what degrees....?

the hole drilled in them is the amount of anti squat

If it's the origional x6 (not squared) the holes in the blocks represent what degree you have ie 3 holes= 3deg.
For the squared because the geometry is slightly different at the back it's 1deg less than each block... (3hole block=2deg) I think or it could be the other way round... I'm sure a team member will correct me if I'm wrong

How is the geometry different on a squared???

Remember reading about it somewhere... think it's to do with the rear tower & wishbones being different
Edit: It's to do with the front of hinge pins being a different height on the squared to the origional x6

As i bought this car second hand I am wondering how to work out the anti squat...?

Here we go this is from Dan Greenwood
![]() The original 0 deg shim for the X6 is 3.8mm but this would give 1 deg pro squat on the new car as the difference in height of the front of the hinge pin means the actual squat is 1 deg below the value. So the 1 deg old shim gives true 0 deg on the squared and is 3.1mm. Personally I run 2 deg of squat usually which is therefore the 3 deg old shim. There are only 5 different shims in the official shimz kit (0,1,2,3,4) so not sure about yours that have the same amount of holes in some!?

No spacers is 4 degrees, add the thinnest one for 3 degrees, change for next thickest for 2 degrees etc. etc.

Ian and Mike are spot on!!
![]() In our DMS Shimz kit there are only 5 pieces - 4 shims and 1 retainer plate The number of holes in each plate do refer to the amount of anti squat and indeed you do "minus 1" for the Squared to get the correct value, since the front mounting point for the wishbone is slightly different to the original....

What ever amount of holes you have in the block take -1 off the amount!
