Default YZ-870C whats it worth ?

I havn't been keeping a eye out on ebay or the likes,

Brand new and never been used, original body aswell, also got the manual, but no box. just sits on my shelf since it was brought back in the late 80's as a upgrade to the bigwig to race but something happen before electrics were installed,

More just wondering what peoples thoughts are of its value.

Oh they’re not worth much, very unpopular cars. It’s probably best if you give it to me for free, to save you the ridicule of owning such a car.

Seriously, the markets very fickle, but check out this thread for a basic idea.

Wow!

No Idea what the value is but takes me back to when I got my dad to drive me and my pal down to RCP to pick up our 'his and hers' dogfighters when they'd just come out. My first 4wd car, I loved it.

Yeah, they’re great cars.

It’s very difficult to put a value on a car like that once it’s built. A lot depends on specific buyer demands of the car. If you’re interested in selling it you might want to get in touch with forum member sm0kin, who might still be on the look out for one.

Thats a really interesting one because its in the original single deck configuration, which handled like it had a hinge in the middle. Very soon all Yokomos you saw at races had a top deck which made for a much better car, but makes your standard one even more rare.

Well I recently sold a boxed mint works 91 with new body and some spares on the bay for £185. IMHO it would be worth around that kind of money.........although if you get 2 keen bidders it could go to around the £300 mark.

I had that one and instead of a top deck it had a right angled 'backbone' spine screwed and glued along the top face of the chassis, and I seem to remember that it had a reduced depth cut out near the front for the steering, so as soon as you had a front impact it just broke the backbone at the weak point. Shouldn't be a problem on the shelf though! Still a nice car though, especially those magnesium bits.

I got one on my watched list on ebay and it made £250.. Unused..
I've got mine on ebay at moment, but mine was well used! :-(
Still its only at £16.00 but had emails from buyers in usa, australia, germany & france regards postage. so hopefully it'll get a few more
bid.
Anyway yours should make at least £250
