I've managed to break a front TRF501X shock shaft on my Durga, with my careful driving style! Does anyone know where I can buy a new one (preferably UK based) and a part number. Please don't tell me I have to but a whole new suspension set!! My local shop, PBM Racing, doesn't stock Tamiya.
Cheers... |

You can use Yokomo Bx shock shafts, I found these easier to get hold of

There are other shock shafts listed on the TRF501X suspension area of Brock's website, would any of these be suitable? Just trying to save a few pennies...

I know you said UK based BUT this ebay shop is fantastic. The parts are dirt cheap, the postage is dirt cheap and Ive had stuff come in 5 days!
£4.81 For a pair of fronts +£1.25 Postage. Thats the Ti Nitride coated ones. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tamiya-TRF501X...4.c0.m14.l1262

I now have the shafts from Japan, many thanks MRD. However does anyone know if there is a spare parts set similar to 53334 Low Friction Damper V Parts (Damper Collar) which I have for the original tamiya durga suspension, but I need a set suitable for 54028 dampers. The original shaft broke inside the lower mount, and I can't get it out!! Hope that makes sense....it's just that the non-501X version isn't as long and half the thread is still visible.
