I had a good look at this shell today at Batley, excellent work mate. The pic doesn't do the silver outlines justice. Was a very nice job.

did you use a stencil for the skull, but am definately liking the tribal stripes on the side, they look ace, right choice of colour and corking chrome pinstriping.

Looks nice although I'm more of a pretty flowers kind of girl than a skull girl...!

I like the colours though, very... aesthetically pleasing!

no stencil for skull just a free hand drawing
tribal stripes i ripped of another free template, but had to copy them over free hand, the pinstripes were the worst took hours

looking pretty smart, like the skull. As DCM said right choice of colours.

pinstriping is a pain in the rse!

tell me about it i hate pinstripes, but it adds another dimension to the scheme and i need more practise on them, wish someone would invent a easier way of doing them.

I have even tried automotive pinstriping tape, and it works.... in a straight line, or gentle curve, but flames etc, just don't bother.

Whats worse, cutting the pinstripe, or de-masking....

..ooh, erm.

I think its the 'de-masking' with liquid mask....depending on what paint is used....

and the cutting with masking tape.

Fine job BIG RED
DCM.....id say pinstriping as i love de-masking(you get to see the finished result)
the answer to both of these is BOB DIVELYS masking solution
its the best ive encounterd....and makes painting easy
even if you remove the wrong bit it resticks like tape

just wash the shell first with a little fairy (you know what i meen)
make sure its well rinsed and dry
paint on a layer (brush if you like) of BOBS and let dry over night
repeat again so you have 2 layers fully dry
trim and paint away till your hearts content (spirit or water/acrylic based)
examples.......
