New comer - asking for gear ratio

hello,

I am new comer on the off road racing and just got a CAT SX. I don't have the box near me now but I want to ask.

1)What is the spur gear and idler gears comes in the box?
2)I am going to use LRP X12 9.5T Brushless motor plus Speed Passion GT2.0 LPF speedo. What is the pinion gear you will suggest and overall gear ratio? I will play the CAT in a sand/mud road.

1. the standard spur is 83t and the standerd internal ration is 2.6

to start with mabye try a 26 -27?? i might get corrected as i am jus guessing really

it does depend on the track size and length of the straight sections,and grip levels but i would start around 28-29 and keep i eye on the temp of the motor.
