my reliable source informs me that is a humber badge and the "h" is the way it is because there is something originating from around the humber - i know the rootes group factory was around there but thats it.

Its not a hillman badge - we own a hillman imp

Default humber

Humber was taken over by The Rootes Group during the 1930s.

wow - this is a real mystery... interesting!

I wonder if it might be from something other than a car? Tractor perhaps?

Got me stumped! It's not a Hudson badge. I've checked the old Holden badges, it's not one of them either. The Humber Snipe badge is sort of in the same area ie, delta-wing design but it's a flattened V so it's the other way round to yours and it'sgot Humber in it. Wonder if it's off a converted car eg, a Sunbeam Alpine Harrier the hatchback version of the Alpine sports car?

perhaps an old Hindustan motors badge?

The only logo I can find with a crossed "H" like that is Austin Healey - but alas that seems to always be in script. Could it be a variation though?

Thanks for looking guys - gona keep trying.

It looks oriental style - the cross bar on the H looks a little like a roof in shape.
