Default LRP X12 Weatherproofing

How do you weatherproof an LRP X12 with its open can design. I feel reluctant to just block the holes up. Were they designed for dry weather only!!!

I heard someone at my Local Club blocking the holes with Blue Tact. Waterproofed it for a while until the Blue Tact got warm and melted into the motor, Therefore killing it

Dont advice using Blue Tact
