Schumacher Fireblade Evo Parts?

Hi,

Does anyone have any fireblade evo parts kicking around?

Looking for rear output cups, rear wing and decent body & undertray, (preferably cheap!)

They have the parts in stock, but just the two output cups are £35.00

Trying to get this one running as cheap as poss!

To re-furb such a classic "vintage" buggy on the cheap with a view to running it is a bit of a paradox... Parts, if found, will not be cheap and coupled with the fact that not many units were produced of this buggy, ergo no used spares... IMO get it re-furbed and stick it on a shelf.. or just don't bother... If you wanna rebuild a vintage to run, choose tamiya... lots of used and new spares due to parts crossover... There has to be some balance to an idea of rebuilding vintage items...

I have no interest in shelf queens, I collect cars to use them!

Parts are readily available for this car directly from schumacher, so its an ideal vintage racer.

Plus I much prefer having something a little bit more interesting that an old thundershot or boomerang..

Each to their own I guess...

Are they the same blade drive light alloy diff outdrives found on the Cat'98? Because if so I've got someone making me some hardened steel copies of them. Once thats done he'll have a CNC pattern for them and might be able to make a few more. Or you could have my old alloy ones as I switch to steel.

I have no interest in shelfers either..! but if you are gonna complain about the price of "vintage" parts, don't go "vintage".. I merely suggested Tamiya as a suitable manufacturer due to the availiability of "cheap" and easily found parts.. if you really want to persue the "vintage" route be prepared to spend big bucks if you choose a make that is "interesting", that's all I was saying dude..! jeez..!

Hi, we still have many older Schumacher spares on the shelf for cars including the Fireblades right back to the Topcat in 2wd and Cat 3000/2000's going back to Cat XLS (although the REALLY old stuff is not on the shelf and is in fact buried in the depths of our stock room)

So there is a good chance we "may" have items that you require, however, they are not really any cheaper then they ever used to be. although non of our stock would of "moved up" with annual price rises. So if somthing was "released" at £10 but sells now for £15 it would still be priced at £10 (if that makes sense)

Also you could ask ben jemison as i sold him my old schumacher a while back.

Might be interested in some steel ones, from memory I had similair wear issues with them when I owned my original fireblade.

I will compare the part numbers to see if they are the same as the cat.

The idea was to enter a few retro races it, but not sure what year the cut-off is at Hinckley, so this may be too new.

I think the hinkley series may have drawn to a close.... also I think their retro/vintage series is open to cars pre-96 (which would make your Fireblade too new)

Darren - interesting to hear that you still have alot of old Schumacher spares buried deep in the dark depths of your stock room, I have a Cougar2 Works, that I might need a few spares for. With the rise in popularity of these old cars, it might be worth listing what you have??

Oh well, it was dirt cheap from ebay, so I will just keep hold if it!
