Default Rear shocks to front of rear shock tower?

Hey Guys,

Has anyone tried and tested the rear shocks on the front side of the rear tower on the ZX-5?

I have noticed this type of setup on the new Tamiya 501X, HB D4 and BJ4WC and many other top class off-road cars.

I have posted some pics of my conversion to test at the next race meet, the conversion uses a KMRC shock tower mount, other than that it was a straight forward modification.

Someone locally runs them like that and much prefers it, never tried it myself.

Would be one way to move some more weight to the front. Can't see any other reason at all to do it though.
