Default KO 2.4ghz system

I've heard there were some binding issues with the modules on the KO system, does anyone know if that's true and if it's now sorted? Would all shop stock now work fine?

Also, I assume the receiver is fine to be used with a 6v receiver pack like other makes such as Futaba?

Anyone know about this, or without a distributor are they difficult to find right now anyway?

They're distributed by RC-Disco, along with Xray and Hudy. The KO 2.4gHz range is meant to be far more reliable than the Futaba 2.4gHz, despite being made by Futaba. Can't help feeling that if Futaba can do it for KO, why can't they do it themselves?

All receivers can be used with 6V Rx packs (or a Lipo with a regulator). I have NEVER come across a receiver without a battery port, or the ability to be powered by a seperate pack.

I've had no problems with my system at all. I got it from MB models in Leeds 01132603330.

I wasn't aware of a binding issue; I've never had a problem with mine. I did purchase my set from the Far East in case that makes a difference.

I presume your query about 6V is for use in a 1/8 nitro buggy. It should be fine as several top US drivers use KO 2.4GHz systems (including Jared Tebo) for exactly that.

Hope that helps.

Used the KO system for about 12 months now. Only problem I had with it was when the aerial wire broke.... Other than that, the system has been absolutely fit and forget. Would definitely recommend one.

Cheers guys, I assume I can have several receivers setup to the one tranny module, eg one in my 4wd, one in my 2wd etc?

Where on earth and from whom did you hear that?? KO produce all their own stuff the last I was informed.

They are a bit of a pain to bind somtimes, but the unit is probably the best presented out there (and smallest RX).

Supply, price and servicing are ALL up in the air a bit at present with the distributor change and at the prices they are supposed to be coming in at now could well price themselves out of the market very easily. Once our stock of 12 radios and 15 recievers are gone we probaly wont be carrying any more at DMS. As for KO servos, no thanks a "Savox" based unti is less than half price and just as good (read "better")

I remember reading about the binding issue on rctech. I think the earlier KO systems struggled to connect when there were Futaba 4pks near by. Once the Tx and Rx had connected they were fine. KO subsequently fixed the problem.

I've been running the 2.4GHz 3GR for most of this year. I've put quite a bit of time on the system and have on a couple of separate occasions had a problem where the Tx / Rx seem to loose connection. Other than this though the link has had brilliant speed and range.

KO 2.4GHz is made by Futaba? Surprising that they are so different? Doesn't the KO lock on to a channel and the Futaba hop? The KO has tiny Rx's and the Futaba's are big by comparison?

I've never had any issues at all with the futaba in 18mths, my only real gripe is the receiver size! I get the impression from DMS' posts on here they aren't the biggest fans of the new distributor of KO stuff, shame if prices are going up though!

Been burnt by them too many times in the past sadly, but the products they represent has to be said are top notch. The KO stuff is excellent, just price that is going to kill it IMHO
