Default Novarossi, turning carb 180 degree's

Just building my first 8th Nitro, engine is in etc, and the carb is facing 180 degrees in the wrong direction - the throttle linkage is over the exhaust!!!

How do I turn it around easily, there must be a way.

Im also struggling with a really strong single exhaust spring that I need 2 pairs of hands for. Wish I had noticed this and picked up some twin springs from JE yesterday. Oh well.

Chris, undo the carb retainer bolt, remove the carb and pop it back in turned through 180 degress - simples

As far as the exhaust spring goes, a special tool is around to do this with (Losi, Sportwerks, Dynamite, Fastrax etc all make one) just like a driver with a hook on the end, it makes fitting these a piece of cake..........

Cheers guys, got it done. Had to undo the bolt AND push out the threaded insert and the carb move is a piece of cake then. The spring is easy with the right tool (home made), but still id rather have twin springs as the engine has the hooks, rather than a single spring right around.

Yeh im a Nitro virgin dude, first time! Got the car completely ready and going to NNRC, haven't had chance (or the balls) to put its first tank through it, but tomorrow is a bash day with loads of people around, so im going to be running it in, learning plenty and being more comfortable firing this up rather than doing it alone. (unless I have a lie-in bed, as im full of a cold )

Chris
