Default Bad sportsmanship?

I've just taken the body off my car from the final yesterday to find this:

Nice eh? The belt is now fubared and will need replacing

It looks like we have a joker who thinks it's funny/clever to f**k about with other peoples cars.

It's shit like this that makes me wonder why I spend my money and time (away from my family) doing this shit. It is just not cricket.

Unfortunatley I think it might have been one of my so called 'friends'. Lets see if anyone owns up?

What do others think?

G

No, the car has been run with the tape pushing down on the belt, it's worn most of the belt away

Ah blimey, sorry to hear that dude. probably a practical joke that went wrong. Hopefully they will hold their hands up and treat you to a new belt and a cold beer.

Im sure somebody will own up to that. Im sure it would have just been a joke but its obviously back fired??

Its a bit harsh doing stuff like that at a National though, final aswell!

Thats just cock, messing at a club is one thing, but when you spend a lot of time, effort and money to go to a national, doing that takes the piss!!..

Got a funny feeling someone will be forced to admit it!!

Bound to be a practical joke or else they would of cut the belt or jammed the fan instead. Annoying but probably a harmless prank that went pear shaped. Bit thoughtless but at least theres no major damage or costly repairs involved.

Thats not good G

I know we all have a laugh and glue stuff to each others tables and draw massive penis' on the underside of cars but when it hinders performance it becomes a different matter, it could also be classed as cheating if they were in the same final. Lets hope it's the last time this happens.

Big penis' on undersides of cars are funny though, we should have more of them

Its all well and good having fun, but you don't mess up a brothers run, especially as it cost so much time, money and effort to do nats.

Not good.

Is it possible that amongst the light hearted pranks, somebody has blamed you and taken offence and has taken revenge?

Even so, its not cricket, id like to think that tampering with the cars etc is an "out of bounds" when joking is concerned.

At a club night then yes you'd take it as it is,but at a national then its a big NO NO......

Plus its a CAT. They could have made you take your slipper out.

Hey bud...

I'm Fuming.... just seen the pics of your car mate

When I've had a look at my own car after the finals, I've noticed a couple of discreet modifacations that I assume the same person has done!!!

New stickers and altered ride hieghts I don't think it's anyone in our tent, but suspect (just) outside interferance

There is no way that you can class that as a joke gone wrong, that's down right evil. If someones at that sort of game in a national,it means that you can't let your car out of your sight for even a minute. Can you even imagine the stink that would result,if that was done to one of the top named drivers? Racing is a nerve wracking trial as it is,without having to watch every Tom,Dick and Harry, just in case he's up to no good. I seriously hope that someone catches the culprit in the act,and deals with him accordingly.

G and Jim,

That's just not right guys. As everyone as said fun is fun and we all need it especially at Nats as it passes time but this takes the biscuit.

I hope whoever has done this owns up to you guys but I expect it not to happen on oOple to be honest.

Whoever did do this (if both incidents are related) do the right thing and own up to the lads, buy G a new belt and apologise to both with a few cold beers and hopefully they may start to forgive....

It's just not right though
