I bought a set of 1 month old Losi shocks off a good mate of mine last week to run on the X6 Squared.
Problem being when ive built the car and fitted them they appear to have way too much droop front and rear. He says they were ordered from America and are the right ones but im kind of thinking I might have 0.9 shafts in front and 1.2 Shafts in rear. This will explain why ive got the extra droop i DONT need! As far as i know the 0.6 and 0.9 shafts are the ones i require??? How do i know i have the correct size threaded shocks aswell? Could anyone measure theres for me to make sure, mine measure the following: Fronts 33mm-From bottom of shock body to top of shock body Rears 41mm-From bottom of shock body to top of shock body Ive ordered a set of 0.6 and 0.9 shafts so will see what there like when they arrive just hope the shocks themselves are ok! Any help would be great Cheers guys ![]()

I think BJ's dad was bidding on that Michael Jackson glove on ebay, the rear shafts do look too long it almost makes the rear bodies look too small, which they are not.
Im sure you will be fine though and will get it sorted ![]() |

From what i understand after looking for a set of losi shocks for a friend they are the CR shocks which means they should be the 0.6 bodies and shafts on the front and the 0.9 bodies and 1.0 shafts on the rear. Looking at the pictures they do look like cr shocks i would suggest you have so much droop as your running them on the inside hole on the tower and on the wishbone.

I have a Losi A or B spacer (the thicker one) on the inside of my rear shocks and 2 washers on the inside of my front ones. I also wind the bottoms all the way on until they bottom out i.e. not just using sidecutters in the grove at the bottom of the shaft and doing up until they hit that. I do that but then move the cutters up the shaft a mm and tighten, then another etc until they are all the way up. I would also ensure they are then the same left to right. You don't need to worry about damaging the shaft becasue the bit you hold with the cutters is covered by the spring cap when assembled so goes no where near the seals.

Gaz, the amount of rear droop you have will not be helped by the size of those HUUUUGE spacers you have under you toe in block.
As the block goes up then your outer end of your wishbone/hub carrier will go down, get them silly big spacers out mate, car will be better for it too.

The shims in there appear to be the transmission height shims.
The original 0 deg shim for the X6 is 3.8mm but this would give 1 deg pro squat on the new car as the difference in height of the front of the hinge pin means the actual squat is 1 deg below the value. So the 1 deg old shim gives true 0 deg on the squared and is 3.1mm. Personally I run 2 deg of squat usually which is therefore the 3 deg old shim
