Time to find something else then

The 1001 when I last used it was awesome. Running a XX instead of my B4

If your 1001 still works I'd be interested in it. I'm still using mine, its still awesome - I just have to live in fear that the day something breaks is the day I have to throw it away!

I may see how it goes with the Tekin Brushless Pro ESC I've got coming. I know I'll need to wire the fet wire direct to the battery power lead etc.

Failing that, keep the Tekin ESC for something else and get an older ESC and run brushed with a LIPO cut off etc.

While Darren is correct that the bits are discontinued, I seem to remember that there was a solution.

I think you could run 2000 series gears, as long as you ran the front end of the case as well. Don't hold me to it, but i think it does work.

I have a 1002 and 1012 sitting around somewhere!! and i think they both still work.

Well the XX gets delivered this week, so it'll be stripped cleaned and then slowly put together.

I'll see how the 1001 goes and may be coming back to you for your 1001
