Default Keeping dirt outside the ball diff?

I just opened up my ball diff. it felt very notchy.

when i open it up, the balls (3/32") in the diff was all full of dirt. Luckily i had ceramics in there.

The outer bevel gears are all clean

Any ideas on how to keep the dirt out?

Really there shouldn't be any dirt in there at all from outside as the gearboxes are sealed. What you can try doing is putting a layer of grease around the gearbox halves and bearing mounts to stop anything getting in when assembling. Also use the foam dust seals included in the kit to conceal the ball diff screw.
