Default KYOSHO ZX-5 IS very strong car.

a few simple hop-ups have made my zx-5 "bulletproof"

1. PN front and rear shock tower holder
2. Better quality bearings throughout (i used wala wala on ebay)
3. Ceramic diff balls (wala wala on ebay)
4. Kyosho or PN Front hing pin holder (D brace)

I run the standard shock tower, as when they break, they dont break off, just cracks and you can still finish your race with it.

Ive races this car for over 15 races now. and have only ever broken a couple of shock towers and changed the spur a few times.

I have never stopped a race due to the car breaking, only a few times due to rocks getting cought up in the unis or the steering rack.

Also most important i think is the drive train. I opened my bulheads up and there still in perfect condition.

Only problem is, it gets quite boring as there is nothing to do between heats.

Great car thanks kyosho. i cant wait for the 2wd.

Also Tony Screwz Kit, makes the build process much better.

Also some Yokomo Turnbuckles. I never snapped the original ones, but the car looked bland with all that black.
