Going from CVD's to dogbone driveshafts, what would be the difference?

sorry dude, it wasn't a question on whether changing would improve/worsen things, I am trying to fit B4 wheels on the 2wd, and at the moment, the only option, is to go to dogbones.

I got CVD's from the Tamiya, but they are about 5mm to short to work on the back of tha Ansmann, but the dogbones are a better fit. Looks like I may have to get new axles made up, to fit the kit driveshafts, but also fit the Proline wheel fitment.

I was thinking that, I am on about the old school dogbone driveshafts, not the Losi style dogbone UJ.
