I got a Nikon D80 about a year ago and its really good. The kit 18-135mm lense i got as a bundle works well too. plus now the D90 is out there are some good deals on d80's.

i can only recomend this camera as ive only used this and my dads Olympus E510 and i prefer my D80.

Is that with a lens?

It's a good idea not to go too crazy on a camera, then leave yourself without a decent lens budget.

What sort of uses are you planning for it, and what is your skill level?

Edit: A decent camera will last you a few years, a good lens could be with you a generation...
