Default Adobe Flash problems

Getting really peeved with this at the moment, Youtube wont play without this and other applications and such.

It asks for an update when trying to play anything on YouTube, I install it, it says installed correctly and go to the page again and it says the same as it did before i installed it.

Ive restarted it after installing the software, ive wiped it clean off (Flash Player) and installed it again and it still says NO.

What am i doing wrong?

The odd thing is that it only seems to be on Youtube its self the videos dont work, Yet any embeded videos work that have been posted on here or viewed through Google Video seem fine?

It says that my Java script maybe turned off? - Where do i change this even?

Latest internet explorer Ian...

Try this: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

Then go to youtube and download flash from there when you try to view a video.

I take it you use Vista x32?
