Depends what brand of tx module your running, but futaba 2.4 tx only works with futaba rx, and spektrum tx only works with spektrum rx...and so on across the brands....as far as I know anyway?

I've been considering using the Corona DSSS v2 module + receivers from Giantcod.co.uk. The low cost of the receivers makes it feasible for those running multiple cars. Yes, it's intended for aircraft, but I've read reports of successful use in cars, and will be trying it out myself (in a Hitec Aggressor CRX tx).

You could sell your Futaba/Spektrum module to fund the purchase.
