Cougar 2000, complete except for steering turnbuckles, looks to be in good condition. Comes with steering servo but no other electrics, just what you see in the pics. £45 plus postage
Thanks |

When can you get spares, shells and wheels etc. for one of these. I had one and loved it and would be tempted.

Schumacher still do a lot of spares for them and I belive that kamtec do repro shells. Other than that I'm sure ebay and oOple people would be able to provide everything you could wish for!

I owned a Cougar 2000 years ago and it looks right. What was the Fireblade as I quite racing before it's release?

I'm pretty sure it's a 2000, not a fireblade, but am happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

Interested in this, but looks like I'll need to do a bit of shopping to make it a runner
Are you able to indicate what's missing / needed? |

its definately a cougar 2000, I used to own both the cougar 2000 and the fireblade 2000. As standard, the fireblade had a longer motor plate which was purple. Fireblade was pretty similar in design, a major difference to note is the fireblade had laydown shocks

No, The xpc was on the 95 team model. This has a S.A.C.S front end on it.

the blade and 2000 are basically the same, the biggest difference was the bottom chassis and front end. The 95 and 2000 had chassis with extensions for the electrics, the blade didn't. They all had various front ends, the one I found to work the best, was the 95 with the intermediate front shocks.... SACS was pants to be honest.

you can put the blade front end on the 2000 and vice versa, I think, the diggest difference, was losing the front rake tuning that was on the 2000/95, the blade was fixed.

The 95 had the slim chassis with lexon pods for the electrics. |

How competitive do you reckon it'd be?

As competitive as the person behind the controls. I have seen this buggy beat Brian Kinwald at the UK GP in the late 90's after I may add he won the worlds and this thing was ballistic on grass, tarmac and dust and ahead of Brian.
