Default What 4wd

Need some advice on what 4wd buggy to get.
Unfortunately, due to the incompetence of the postal system, the box of spares for my cat 3k got lost in the post so it's time to look for something a little more modern.
Deciding factor is mainly my budget (or lack of one), as only got about the 250 mark to spend.
From what I can see this gives me a few options.
Cat sx s1,
B44,
Bmax4.
In all honesty I'm pretty much already settled on the cat, but a little hesitant as the lipo saddles i bought for the 3k would have been a waste.
So gents, your opinions please.

i run Demon saddles in mine currently and they fit fine. Quite a few others run saddle lipo in the Cat also. end to end they are the same size as the sticks.

you will probably get all manner of answers to the "what is the best car" question. it has been asked on here many times. The only way to answer it is to try each car for yourself if you know people that run them, then see which one you prefer handling wise.

All the top cars are just as capable as each other. the main factors to think about are spares support, set up advise from team members, trackside support if the car is popular at your club.

Definately see what pops up used. After all its still going to be a lot newer than your Cat3K!

I can second the D4 in this regard. Mine was off ebay, £90 including a saddle lipo and a few sets of tyres and when I collected it, it seemed factory fresh. I've since had three people come up to me and say they used to own that very car - its been around the block a few times! But its got less slop han my new B4 and drives great.
Which makes sense really. I bought it like you to replace an ageing Schumacher (Cat'98) and if you consider that that was still race-worthy after 10 years, a 2 year old car is practically just run in!
