Default tracks near mansfield or chesterfield

i've just aquired an associated tc4 that i plan to take racing. i last raced 16 years ago and that was 4wd buggys. i've only been interested in bashing for the last 16 years, but this car has got me thinking about competing again. are there any tracks in the mansfield, notts or chesterfield, derbyshire area? also is the tc4 capable of been competative?i looked on the brca web site and it said there was a track at mansfield, but the link is dead and i cant find any more info.

There is Broxtowe Model car Club in Eastwood Nottingham mate that race indoors on a Saturday night in the winter and also have a permanent tarmac track that will be racing every friday night and some sundays in the summer. Here is a link to the website where all details of race dates, directions etc can be found.

There is a meeting this Sunday coming for touring cars with practice on the Saturday afternoon. Get yourself down there! Detail can be found on the website or feel free to pm me.

Default Mansfield Club.

We do have a track in mansfield mate. Its on bottany ave commercial park(near the Bold Forrester). We run classes for all on carpet for tourers and multi surface for the Buggies. We are having problems with our website but we do run every wednesday night. Racing starts around 7 and doors open at 6ish. Hope to see you down there. Any Q's please just ask.

Mansfield's tourer tracks are good, I ran my Mini (M03) there and they usually run in the first/bottom/newbie (call it what you will) heat, followed by the "proper" TC's in subsequent heats, then they run buggies before starting the next round of heats. If you go in the winter take a warm coat, big open ex-knitwear mill + no heating = baltic temperatures .

there used to be a good touring car club in Doncaster (not sure if they still run) which is really good for beginners or for a proper track try Sharley park at clay cross. donny used to run every other friday and Sharley every sat night.

Newark runs most Friday nights at Newark Showground, there's a heat or two of Tamiya M03's along with touring cars, very close racing.

Might be a bit far from you but we regularly get peeps from Notts, Lincs, South Yorks etc.

Yup, the Crocker and Sheldon halls, animals aren't kept in those ones apart from the occasional dog shows, its normally dusty but plenty of grip.
