Default Shock Piston Question

Hey Guys,

I see that Alot of you are running the 2 hole pistons drilled out to 1.5mm. Is anyone running the 3 hole pistons? If so have you modified those at all?

I've never run a 3 hole in any car so I am curious as to the advantage or disadvantage of them. Thanks!!!

Brad

Tried the three hole pistons and the car had more grip but it bottomed out all the time especially jumping

we have been trying the 3 hole pistons of late with the smaller holes in the back to increase the pack oils were 40 front and 35 rear on grass and found the car to be good. when we get a chance we will back to back test the 1.5's and the 3 hole to give a more accurate answer but for now initial impresions were an improvement on bumpy tracks

thanks nathan

Thanks Guys. I put the 3 holes in with some ae 40wt. Unfortunately My LRP Sphere Comp went up in smoke on some hot asphalt so I was unable to do any bumpy track tests. Hopefully I will have the ESC back soon and it will live. Looks like I may be changing over to a Novak GTB. I have heard of others having the same problems with the Sphere

hi guys,

Just a short question. When you speak about 2 holes piston 1,5 mm, which one is it in the ZX5 kit ? 2B, 2C, 2D or something 'home made' ?

1.5 holes is homemade, works very well at most tracks
