Looking at upgrading my motor to something slightly faster, any recommendations?
Currently got a 19x2 LRP Stock motor in my B4 and looking for a modified. 14 turn or would you go for a lower wind and wind back the ESC? Got a LRP 7.1 ESC at the mo until I go for a Sphere. |

I'm looking at a Brushless LRP ESC, so maybe that should be the better step forward. Only just finished kitting the car out with a LRP 7.1 !

If you're defo going brushed I found CHeckpoints to be the best, the Orion motors also decent life between rebuilds.
However brushless is brilliant. A 6.5L novak motor should be about a 9 0r 10 turn pace though, defo quicker than an 11. a 7.5 would be closer to an 11 I think, though does depend on cels.

I used to run 10t for a big open track and 11t or 12t for smaller tracks, a 7.5t brushless motor is perfect

Thinking about it I may go for a 2nd hand 7.5 once I get a Sphere, but it seems a shame to by the 7.1 the other week, fit it and then rip it out again...
mmm 2 x LRP speedos heading for the for sale section.. Or getting donated to a friend |
