Lightbulb Xcelorin troubles?

Xcelorin ESCs are known to have 'teething' troubles, i offer the following example as a possible remedy. This remedy is based on my own 1/10 Xcelorin ESC (9500).

If the performance/lack of performance of your Xcelorin brushless ESC is troubling you, you MAY need to update your firmware...
But the Losi.com download page shows a firmware edition that appears older than yours?
First ensure you are using the newest edition of the ESC setup software i.e. Xcelorin Software Setup Program for 1/10 Xcelorin Sensored ESC**
Setup.exe Version: 2.0
.
once you have uninstalled the previous version (probably that which came with the ESC package) and installed the new version you must download the firmware update.

as previously stated you MAY find the offered firmware version appears to be earlier than yours i.e. D010128N.LSC
rather than 'D110123N'.

download the offered firmware update and then finding the file where you stored it on your computer, change the filename as follows 'D010128N.LSC' -> 'D110128N.LSC'.

now when you select the firmware update option you will find this firmware update available. install the firmware update. after if you try to read settings from your Xcelorin ESC you may be confronted with an error message, at which point you you should select 'Reset to Factory Defaults' from the 'Commands' option. You should now find yourself able to send and read settings to and of your ESC, the system's performance is (at least) satisfactory and that you also have two additional profiles (4. Blue and red, 5. Green and yellow) .

"...download the offered firmware update and then finding the file where you stored it on your computer, change the filename as follows 'D010128N.LSC' -> 'D110128N.LSC'"

When I go to update firmware it looks for a (D0101*.LSC) file and hasn't seen the new named D1101*.LSC file..
