Default Ep 4200's aka Firecrackers

After much debate on gp vs Ib cells, i needed to order some more cells, but with Gp not being available, iv chose the firecrackers.

Iv spoke to some racers and iv only heard good things about these cells. They have similar characteristucs as Ib cells but iv not heard any negative points on them as yet.

For £30 you get matched, zapped cells and above all assembled.

Anyone else running them?

If so what are your verdicts.

Pm sent mate.

Im sure many members weill already know where these cells come from, however for those that dont, im unsure on whether im allowed to post the company details.

Pm me for info.

Out of curiosity Jimmy, what is the story for naming xx companies, are we allowed? i ask as certain other forums will lead to a ban if you mention any info.

Thanks

Col.

You ask what config you want, and they are assembled to suit. You also have a choice on plugs and even connector length and position lol..

Saves a lot of hassle i suppose as i cant make cells up to save my life..

I was chatting to Paul Rotherham, he uses them and rates them quite highly.

Iv just ordered 2 packs to compliment the 3 sets of gp4300's that i run. My Yokomo zap 3300's will now be used for practise lol..

My theory is that if i only use 1 pack a day and I use all 5 packs, the cells themselves will last longer.... as less stress involved . I know many matchers say its safe to re use cells a second time providing they are cold and I admit i have been doing this so far and have no probs what so ever. But if i have the cells, This hopefully will be better for them in the long run.

Time will tell eh lol.

Col, Unless I have been physically attacked by a shop keeper then its usually no problem at all to mention stuff or links etc. Ruthless pimping of ones own shop or sponsors shop etc isn't quite so ok of course since I do have a shop in the banner adverts who has shown their support for this site.

but yeah, its no problem

EP cells are the winners..

They generally have more power on their second run though, I run 3 packs, using a pack twice a day and always find I've alot more power during the second half of the day (running modifieds).

Not had them dump, miss a beat, snap, crackle, pop () or 'hiss' through the charge.

how long have you been using them Paul, how often do you use them and how many charges would you say they have taken?

I spoke to Nick (Demon products) Last week about these cells, he said the current batch which have recently arrived, have improved voltage and lower IR over the previous ones. How that affects cell lifespan is yet to be seen, but he did say the previous lot (Think thats the ones Paul R has) have survived way better than the IB 4200's (he even admits having IB cells go down is his own race packs).

PS: website not always 100% upto date, so even if it says out of stock, its worth dropping an email or phone call
