Default Lazer ZX spurgear

Just wondering....How will the spurgear hold all dirt and sand etc.? There isn't any gearcover on the Lazer . On the 1:18th cars that haven't any gearcover will be very affected by any sand and gravel.

The shells a nice tight fit ,and if your running on loose ground like that put some gaffa tape over the hole.

But personnally never had a prob with it.

When I drove on loose gravel with some sand, I put some scotch-tape over the small hole under the spur-gear. I did the same over the holes where the battery-pack fits. Never got any troubles with dirt in the gears...
