Default NOVAK LITE?

What makes the LITE motor good for off-road? Novak recommend their LITE motors for off-road... but why? are they ok to use on a smaller track? or does the LITE motor characteristics make 'em better for larger tracks...

HELP!!!

They have smoother acceleration so theres less wheel spin and the car should feel nicer to drive but still have the same topend speed as the normal motors, they are good for both small and big tracks, I used one in my 2wd and 4wd last year to good effect and got some good results with them indoors on tight tracks and outdoors on big open tracks.

I don't know for sure, but I think it's the size of wire they use for the windings...they use a smaller gauge winding in the lite motors, so generate slightly less low end torque, but run slighty hotter as a result. I've not used one, but many do at my local club running buggies indoors to great effect!

your spot on the wires are thinner and do run a little hotter because of this so you just got to keep an eye on how hot it's getting when you first gear it up as you can cook them if you over or under gear them too much!
