Default Gearing for a LRP X12 5.5

Hi all,

Does anyone have a good starting point for gearing the above motor on a track like Swindon?

Dont know what your track is like but i run mine geared at about 9.75 to 1 with 0deg timing on motor as standard, this is in a pred 08 and is nice and fast, with temps at about 160deg after race, hope this helps SAM

if it's the Swindon 8th track that was used at last years regional then i would go up a tooth from normal as it's a massive track and quite flowy.
20t would be a good start on kit spur then go up or down 1 depending if they have altered the track or if you need a bit more top end
