Default Hinge Pin Diameters

As title suggest really, i am trying to find out the diameter of the B4 rear hinge pins and i dont have a vernier and so i am struggling to get an accurate measurement . i have seen on a website that they are 3mm but i am machining some braces and so need to make sure this is an accurate measurement.

any help would be appreciated

thanks

Hi, I think I have some hinge pins loose, and a pair of verniers...I'll give one a measure when I get home...unless someone else answers first!

Vernier says 0.1" or 2.76mm!! So yeah, guess the 7/64" is correct.

1/10=0.1 = 2.54mm
7/64 =0.1094 =2.7781mm
take a look at this chart for accurate conversions

Hehe...your absolutely right! Should have included more decimal places in my post...vernier read 0.108", turned it to metric mode and it read 2.76mm

I just got the 30 degrees caster blocks and found the hole for the hinge pin a really tight fit, I had removed the flashing around the hole, it felt like something would break before the hinge pin would go through the blocks. The vertical pin slides through fine. Tried on some mates blocks he had in his box - also very tight.

I was looking at getting a reamer to clean out the hole. Anyone else found this?

I have found the same on some arms, I looked into getting a 7/64" reamer but prices were very high. So I got the Dremel drill bit set (#628) that has a few US sizes in it, 7/64" included.

I saw this last week too, seems common on the 'latest' mouldings - read that how you want.

I'm just looking into sourcing some 7/64" drill bits now that can be carefully used to clean out wishbone pin holes if anyone is interested?
