Default Fan mounting.......

So, those holes in the motor plate that are: "useful for fan mounting"....

How exactly are you supposed to mount a fan to them?

I've seen it done with a lexan mount, however the new "tranny brace" will possibly get in the way of any fan.

The other option is a nice LRP motor heatsink. Keeps things cool, plus gives you 20g extra weight

Or the Red one..... Yeh I've seen that. It's just these "really useful holes" that I've never even seen used that I was wondering about.

We've had several ideas for various fan mounts. Every time we start to get serious about producing one to sell, something else (4-Gear, X - 60, 6 Squared, Dirt's Teanny Brace, the list keeps growing) seems to get in the way.

For a particular reason, which I can't talk about right now, the fan mount is quickly moving to the top of the list. All will be revealed ASAP. But don't hold your breath. ASAP = 3 months or more before they are here and in packages. The fan mount is on top of the list now, and we're finally getting started...

BTW, it has nothing to do with motor temps or any other problem with the car. Don't think the Squared runs higher temps than the original car, because it does not. Before doing this we wanted the right parts, and never had time to do the research necessary. It was a matter of finding the right supply. That fell into our lap at Cactus, so at last we can go.
