Fitzpatrick Models
anyone had dealings with them?
have they closed? ordered a motor from them but haven't seen it yet, payment was made 4th June 08 tried the landline # but says it has a fault, not answering mobile either their on ebay as mavrick2k5 with 95% feedback mainly for slow posting John did say he'd burnt his hand/s in accident a few weeks back so maybe that's holding him up again anyone with any other contacts for them, team drivers maybe?

Well I do hope for your sake Glenn that this fellow is an honest trader... because he is using all the tricks of a dishonest one...

purchase was made over the phone not through ebay from the phone #'s quoted on thier web site contact page

Well, keep on trying then, I am sure that if he can answer the phone to take an order he will be able to answer the phone to answer a question. His website is still active to take orders from having a quick look, I had never heard of them before now.

They've been in touch @ Mon 16/06/2008 01:38 to say motor posted Thursday but not here over the weekend. Sometning about internet down for 4 days and couldn't get to my postal address. Guess he leave's emails on a server to keep out virus attacks, maybe.

I have alos not received my goods from these guys. I ordered some Sorex premounts and not go them and this was about a month ago!! I have emailed them and they rekon they were lost in the post likely story as my mate also ordered some and his havent arrived either.

Well I am TJF's mate and I still have not had any luck. Fortunatly I paid by PayPal so it is in their hands now.
As has been said already the phone is out of the question. Loads of emails sent and I think he has replied to about two of them. Saying the wheels have been sent, got lost, etc, etc etc. Apparently Schumacher now have them in stock and he is waiting for a delivery although the website has said for a little while; "All Sorex Tyres back in stock". This last correspondence was over 5 days ago. ... totally baffling

maybe he has been caught with his trousres down and don't quite know how to get himself out of this pickle.... he could be genuine.
But who knows.

UPDATE
Still waiting for a motor and no contact from them &  Phoned Trading Standards to see if they have any reports on file for the said model shop in their area but they haven't. Staffordshire County Council Trading Standards 57 - 60 High Street Burton on Trent Staffordshire DE14 1SJ Pointed me to Consumer Direct site. I’ll be writing to Fitzpatrick Models and sending recorded mail Consumer Direct site Final Notice Letter Have spoken to Schumacher UK on Friday gone, who say Fitzpatrick Models are still trading and they have no issues outstanding with them or their account.

as I said earlier, I was hopefull of getting a refund for the tyes I did not recieve because I had paid by paypal....
WRONG!!!!!! The claim has been settled in my favour but because there are no funds available to them in this tw&#$ account they can't do sod all ! Work that one out ? If PayPal can't get any sense out of him then what chance do the rest of us have ? I understand he may have accidently showed stock on his site which enabled my order to go through but at least he could do the decent thing and play ball. All I want is my 22 pound back.

yes i read this also,
from what i gather he soon answers emails and responds to you once he knows your raising a claim. he races at several of my local clubs, don't know him personally but could mention some of the clubs he races at if you needed to talk to him. Pm me
