if you get fobbed off with Paypal, then threaten them with a solicitor, and they act very quickly indeed, you may just get bounced back with a pre-written email initialy.

To be fair you didn`t buy it from him off ebay, but you did a transaction outside of ebay but used paypal, so your not covered by paypals protection.
So to give the guy a bad name for selling you an item which your unhappy with, due to choice words by the seller which don`t fully describe the item, is unfair.

Also where on the listing, clicky, , if your using it as a bases to the dispute, does it say Quote 'top condition' as you say.

I personally don`t know the guy but why have a go at him for doing the opposite to the question in the listing on the a buy it now option? NB. he has removed it because it was lost or broken, so therefore you bought the item blind, unless he sent you addtional info via email. It`s just as much your fault for not asking the right questions to him not giving you information.

Sorry mate but got to agree with sly. Reading the description he only says

"Futaba 3VCS spectrum SM 1000 module SR 3000 receiver. The transmitter has had the spectrum aerial fitted to the top of the transmitter. The item comes boxed with the instruction manual and works 100%, it also includes a 2400 rechargeable battery pack for the transmitter which is fitted."

its condition is stated as used and he makes no mention of it being in excellent cond. just that it works 100%

maybe you have been stitched up, but as sly says paypal (owned by ebay) wont help you out as you bought it outside of ebay after he posted

"The seller ended this listing early because the item was lost or broken."

A lot of people do this to save paying ebay final value fee,s

He could and probably will say you bought the radio knowing it was broken and even a solicitor might agree with that.
This is one to put down to experience
Also looking at his feedback he owns an LRP Z.28R SPEC 3 TRUGGY he might be an oople member or reader if you go after him you got to delete the base bat threats first

sorry to hear you was disapointed with your item you brought off him. i have brought many items off the seller and have met him in person. What was the problem with the item? did it not work? I have seen the transmitter with my own eyes and it is as he decribed so im not sure what the problem is. he has over 3000 transactions and 100% feed back surely that must mean that he is a trusted seller. If the item does not work then yes you are justifyed in wanting your money back he showed it me powered up and it worked fine and if i had had the money i would of brought this my self as these transmitter cost over £400 but as i have read on the sale that the item is in used condition and works fine. Bad mouthing people is slander in the writen word and im sure he would not be happy if he seen this. My personal opinion is that he has sold you the item as described and you are now the owner of this item. As for paypal they can not intervien as the item was brought out of ebay and have only acted as a money transfer group.

You don't think he knows the seller extremely well do you??

Still, he has a point, I'm sure most of us on here know Blitz is a straightup guy, but the seller has good feedback too so wouldn't think he'd try a deliberate screwover either!?

Reason I asked what was up with the tranny was I was wondering if it had been butchered to get the Spekky aerial in, I think on some spekky's that's how some people did it on the 3vc, cut holes in to run the aerial, just thought maybe that was the issue?
