i just got a losi 4.5 t brushless motor systum an ive put in my car but its not as fast i thort it would be ive changed the pinen to a 17t one but still not as fast any help do ineed to do some other stuff ??

I would have thought you should be using around a 15T pinion on that bad boy.

I run a 20T on a 12x2 brushed motor...so a 4.5 is well faster (like a 7 turn) so try a smaller pinion. Watch out for the motor / speedo getting too hot though.

the gearing on the rtr uses a very big pinion, 24tooth with something like a 76tooth spur i think. as standard so my guess is you are well down with a 17 tooth pinion.

got a 17t pienun an a better battry good its fast now but sadly this morning i crashed it an broke the front wish bone an part of the front bulkhead set .......... orded some new ones of ebay so waitin for them to come.......

17T or 18T pinion should be fine as i run a sp with a 5.5 on a 20T and this is perfect for the car. speedo comes off cool and the motor warm.
