Default exceleron problems

hey guys, i advised a young club member to get one of these for his car to make the car more consistant on power to try an teach him how to get the car up now and what the little adjustments do.

it was working fine when out on the track on its own, and i managed to plug it into the club laptop and set all the brakes and things easy enough. problems them was that when out on the track with other cars, wot we call the top heat!! so the fastest taht oswestry has to offer, the car came to a dead spot where the car jsut wasnt givin out any power. it was still fully functional with break throttle and steering but just wasnt giving any power.

after the race i moved the sensor wire receiver and added a power cap to the receiver and it worked perfectly. but i dont know which one of these changes helped, has anyone else had this problem?? it was a specific part of the track every lap which i thought was weird and obviously because of being in with us, but still need to knwo where the fault is to make sure it doesnt happen again.

ashley put it into the car an ran the sensor wire along the power cables, also the receiver wire was close to them aswell.

any ideas??

i always use to run a power cap 2, but i dont really need to with my gtb i never have this problem. but i thought seen as its a young member that it was worth a try to keep the car workin so he doesnt get disinterested.

And to whoever it was that spotted yet another one my spelling mistakes i dont care, ppl get wot i meant and i know i cant spell, and thank you for another helpful comment when someone is asking for some advise, next time i want a comical joke ill ask you for it, cos you obviously dont know how to give advise!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just to clear this up, though there is a similarity in the visual apperance of the speedos, the Losi system is nothing at all to do with Novak.

I reckon the problem was, letting Ash anywhere near it

As for the real fault, I reckon the power cap added cleared it, as the sensor wire won't cause intereference, just funny timing problems.

Yes it will, i did have that cutting out issue every now and again, it's not perfect with the new firmware, the brakes are now stronger too.

brakes dont seem to be a problem because he isnt use to using them. but when i could plug it into the laptop and have a fiddle they were workin alot better and it made it alot more controlable for him

can i ask does anyone normally fiddle wit the throttle and break curves on the speedo?? i had a look but didnt really wanna change it without some more time to test and see wot exactly it does

Thats why bryce said to me will you do it ashley before mike comes because your cars always look tidier than mikes and dont break where mike rarely finishs a race.
