What does 57dB sound like?

I think that would be about the sound level while watching a TV. I think housing codes are set to maintain a 45 dbA level sound-proofing for the interior of homes.

Found this on WIKI... Does it help?

What I would say is that there are some well noisy generators at nationals, almost like site generators, normally the owners put them the other side of their cars, pointing at someone else (like me). If it's a site one, steer clear.
